波佐見焼シリーズのスカルマグ第三弾。今回も限定品となるホワイト＆ホワイトのカラーリング。1950年代、アメリカ輸出用に生産された希少なヴィンテージデザインを特殊な二重構造で再現。波佐見焼の窯元、菊祥陶器さんの協力を得て、3年以上の試行錯誤の末に完成。一つひとつ異なる柄に焼き上がるため、２つと同じものが存在しないプロダクト。コレクションやディスプレイにもぴったりの逸品。
The third edition of the Skull Mug series from Hasami ware is here. This time, it features a fully limited-edition white and white color scheme. Reproducing a rare vintage design originally created in the 1950s for export to the U.S., the mug is crafted using a special double-layered structure. With the cooperation of Hasami’s renowned kiln, Kikusho Tohki, it took over three years of trial and error to bring this design to life. Each piece has a unique pattern, ensuring no two mugs are alike. This exceptional product is perfect for collections or display.

長崎県波佐見町は、陶磁器で有名な佐賀の有田・伊万里地方に隣接する良質な陶石が産出される地域で、その産業の歴史は江戸時代から400年以上にわたる。かつては国内シェアの1/3を占めた分業制のインフラを備えるが、多くは隣り合う有田焼として流通してきたため、その名が世に出ることは少なかった。時代に沿った製品を作り続けることで培われた、確かな技術力と柔軟な姿勢こそが波佐見焼の真価。現在、波佐見焼ブランドは国内外から非常に高い評価を受ける伝統工芸品である。
Hasami Town in Nagasaki Prefecture is located adjacent to the Arita and Imari regions of Saga, which are famous for porcelain. The area is known for its high-quality porcelain stone and boasts a ceramic history spanning over 400 years, dating back to the Edo pe-riod. While Hasami established an infrastructure for a division-of-labor production sys-tem that once accounted for one-third of the domestic market share, many of its prod-ucts were distributed under the name of Arita ware from the neighboring region, leaving Hasami’s name relatively unknown. However, Hasami ware’s true value lies in its relia-ble craftsmanship and adaptable approach, cultivated through continuous production of items suited to the times. Today, the Hasami ware brand is recognized as a highly es-teemed traditional craft both in Japan and abroad.
